MTPConnect has formalised a new partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Health through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Global Health Exhibition 2025 in Riyadh.

The agreement, signed by MTPConnect Chief Executive Officer Stuart Dignam and Saudi Ministry of Health Deputy Minister Dr Khalid Alburikan, committed both organisations to advancing collaboration in life sciences innovation, investment, and healthcare transformation.

MTPConnect CEO Stuart Dignam said the agreement marked an important step in strengthening Australia’s ties with Saudi Arabia’s rapidly evolving health sector. “We are delighted to formalise this relationship with the Saudi Ministry of Health as our organisations share mutual interests to support and invest in innovation, fuel medical product discovery and advance human health,” Mr Dignam said.

He noted that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative placed life sciences innovation at the centre of the Kingdom’s economic diversification agenda. “Saudi Arabia is investing heavily in building a patient-centred, tech-enabled health system — creating new opportunities for collaboration and partnerships,” he said. “This agreement will help open up new market, commercial and collaboration opportunities for Australian life science companies.”

The MoU establishes a framework for cooperation through joint programs and events, information exchange, and future trade delegations between the two nations. It also reflects a shared commitment to accelerating medical innovation and strengthening international partnerships.

MTPConnect is leading a 14-member Australian delegation to the Global Health Exhibition, featuring organisations including HA TECH, Lixa, Cambium Bio, Yvonne Lungershausen Consultant, Botaniqal Clinics Australia, JustPartnering, The University of Adelaide, CMAX Clinical Research, UNSW RNA Institute, Recce Pharmaceuticals, Micro-X, National Acoustic Laboratories, MTPConnect SA and WEHI Ventures.

The Global Health Exhibition 2025 has brought together more than 160,000 healthcare professionals, 1,500 exhibitors and leading investors, highlighting the global momentum behind healthcare innovation.
