Corrina Bertram is a policy and strategy consultant with 25 years’ experience supporting investment and reform in Victoria’s innovation ecosystem and public sector.
Corrina is KPMG’s lead Partner for the Victorian Government, and leads the national Public Sector Consulting practice. She delivers complex reform, strategy and transformation programs for clients, and provides leadership to the firm’s most complex account. Corrina commenced her career in the Victorian Departments of Treasury and Finance (DTF), and Premier and Cabinet (DPC) where she advised on Innovation policy. As the General Manger of Biotechnology Policy and Projects in the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) she led significant investment into Victoria’s medical research facilities, developed the Biotechnology Strategic Plan in consultation with industry and successfully championed national stem cell reform.
Corrina has significant governance experience, having served for 5 years on the KPMG national Board, Audit Committee and Governance and Risk Committee. She is a member of the Asialink and Asialink Business Councils (Australia’s national centre for engagement with Asia) and the Board of Ourschool (a not-for-profit that supports alumni and industry connections for public school students to raise aspiration). She is also KPMG’s Sponsor of the Women in Leadership Program. Each of these roles reflect her passion for diversity and inclusion and optimising potential.
Corrina has a Masters in Public Policy and Management (University of Melbourne), Bachelors of Arts (Politics, Indonesian) and Commerce (Economics) and is a member of the AICD and Institute of Public Administration Australia (Vic).
